ACRO presents the next release in the Kaiju Remix Series, the Twin Tail Vinyl Collectible, designed and sculpted by Sagata Kick.
“Twin Tail” joins the KAIJU REMIX SERIES as a pre-painted vinyl figure, with original sculpt and paint by Sagata Kick. From its seemingly gentle, upward-looking expression, emerge rows of ferocious teeth. Covered from head to tail in sturdy armor and sharp spines, Sagata Kick’s distinctive sculpting has been faithfully recreated in soft vinyl using ACRO’s U-Vinyl technology (mold-baked casting). “Twin Tail” is often remembered as prey, but there is nothing vulnerable about this interpretation! Beautiful from every angle, its sleek yet ferocious presence makes it look as though it could strike at any moment. Experience the powerful presence of Sagata Kick’s new take on “Twin Tail” for yourself!
Comment from Sagata Kick on creating Twin Tail:
This is my third KAIJU REMIX SERIES project. I’m truly happy to have been given another opportunity to sculpt one of the kaiju I love. Twin Tail has somewhat of an underdog image, thanks to its memorable settings such as “it tastes like shrimp when newly born” and being “Gudon’s food.” However, I sculpted Twin Tail with the intention of expressing its strength—strong enough to give Ultraman Jack a hard time even in a one-on-one battle. I believe Twin Tail’s appeal lies in the combination of its powerful kaiju-like features, such as its sturdy armor and sharp spines, its somewhat goofy yet endearing expression, and above all, the beautiful curves created by its head crawling along the ground and its tentacles standing upright.
I hope you can enjoy this new “flavor” of Twin Tail as a KAIJU REMIX, while still preserving the qualities that make the original so appealing.
