Until now your options for a 1/6th scale Sherman were pretty limited. You could scratch build, of course, or pick up one of the metal tanks from specialty manufacturers. Now is your chance to pick up an affordable 1/6th Sherman tank. The new Dragon Sherman M4A3 is a must for your 1/6th motor pool.
UPDATE 1/19/2011- This item recently came into stock and after inspection we must make a few clarifications, which were not available from the Manufacturer when it was first advertised:
1. The manufacturer has agrued that this is not a model kit and it certainly was not advertised that way. We agree, as there could have been many more parts to assemble than there are. However, this vehicle requires more than minor assembly as original advertised (it takes approximately 4-6 hours assembly time). Most significantly, the tracks come unassembled and are quite time consuming to construct (about an hour per side).
2. This product was designed to be a static model; the drive sprocket screws into place and is not intended to turn. We believe this can be modified to roll with a little work, but that is left up to you to figure out.
3. The hatches on the turret are hinged and open freely, but the hatches on the hull are in a fixed and closed position.
4. The manufacturer does not supply decals are markings of any kind. If you don't have you own source or method for creating markings for the vehicle, we recommend contacting Patches of Pride to see when they might have some available: http://www.patchesofpride.com/pages/decals.html
